FAQ
The filters should be replaced every few months as they have a limited lifespan. If you descale your machine regularly, a water filter is often not necessary. Many users even manage without one altogether.
Yes, it is recommended to clean the sieve manually occasionally. Simply open it and check that it is clean. If you regularly use cleaning tablets, it may be necessary less often.
No, this is not recommended. Grease collects mainly in the brewing unit and the coffee outlet. Use specially developed cleaning tablets for this. You should only clean the water tank with suitable descaling agents.
Yes, but only with caution:
Place the items in the dishwasher for 30-40 minutes and pause the program before the hot phase. The high heat can damage the material and make the plastic porous.
After cleaning, the seals should be re-greased.
Painted parts do not belong in the dishwasher.
Note: Dishwashing detergent is usually only added during the hot phase, so the parts will not be affected if you remove them beforehand.
Leave the drip tray open after each use so that the machine is well ventilated and residual moisture can escape. Otherwise, mold can form, which can be harmful to health.
A short circuit caused by a leak inside the machine is likely. Possible causes:
Defective pipe on the boiler
Problems with the Raccord valve
Open the machine and check these components. There are numerous helpful videos online that demonstrate the repair process.
Check whether water has gotten into the electronics.
If not, disconnect the 220V consumers such as boiler, water pump, grinder and heating plate one by one.
Switch the machine on and reconnect the consumers one by one. As soon as the fuse trips again, you have identified the faulty consumer.
Caution: Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before connecting or removing components.
Water leaks overnight indicate a leak between the water tank and the water pump.
Solution:
Remove the covers from the machine to get a better view of the connection points.
Check and replace seals if necessary.
The water pump may be leaking slightly when not in use, allowing water to flow from the tank into the drip tray. Check the pump and replace any leaking parts.
This problem can have several causes:
Leaking brewing group: Perform a test without the drip tray to check the leaks of the brewing group during brewing.
Coffee grinding level too coarse: Even if the knob is set to "fine", the grinder can be readjusted.
Remove the top cover of the machine.
Manually adjust the grinder to a finer setting.
After each coffee brewing, residual water flows from the brewing group into the drip tray. As long as no water is lost during the brewing process, the amount in the drip tray is normal.
Possible causes:
The water tank sensor is defective or the plug is wet.
The magnetic float in the tank may be stuck or rusted.
Turn the cleaned grinder completely until it stops moving.
Then open it by 4-6 teeth . This corresponds to the finest setting.
The resistance of the heating element should be between 30 and 45 ohms .
An increase in resistance between the metal of the boiler and the heating element indicates a defect and can trigger the residual current device.
Cause:
Clumped coffee due to water in the grinder.
Incorrectly connected grinder motor.
Grinder set too finely.
Solution:
Clean the grinder thoroughly.
Check the motor connections.
Adjust the grinder to a slightly coarser setting.
Cause:
Broken cable at the connections from the circuit board to the limit switches or problems with the circuit board itself.
Solution:
Check the limit switches and clean the magnetic sensor on the drive wheel.
Check and repair damaged cables.
Do not use sunflower oil as it will stick after a while.
Recommended product: Ceragol Ultra Premium Function Oil – food-safe lubricating oil: Amazon link .
Cause:
Leak or misplaced/defective flowmeter.
Solution:
Descale the machine using a pure liquid descaler.
Leave the descaling liquid overnight.
Perform the venting process several times.
Recommended set: Wolfcraft Safety Bit Box (31 pieces) for safety screws.
Contains 30 solid bits (25 and 50 mm) in different sizes and a hand screwdriver.
